About this work

Description

After his two long stays in 1938-9 and 1947-8 WWS subsequently visited the USA many times and was much interested in the differences between psychiatry as practised in England and America. He was particularly concerned about what he considered to be the Freudian domination of American psychiatry. In the 1950s and 1960s he published his views in a series of articles in American journals. This section contains drafts and copies of these articles and material such as correspondence and presscuttings which illustrate some of the responses to his opinions.
