About this work

Description

Fable of the horse and laden ass by J. Ogilby. The horse refuses to share the burden borne by the ass. The ass dies under its weight, and the horse then has to carry the burden anyway, and the weight of the ass's hide

The coffers are wrapped in the dead horse's hide
