Description
See further: Transactions of the British Society for the History of Pharmacy, London 1974, vol. I, no. 3
The doctors' system is expounded by a variously stricken tree laden with almost a dozen physicians discredited by their own dialogue; in the background are a 'poison shop','mad house',and 'a house for experiments on the poor in order to support the "organic theory" -commonly call'd hospital or infirmary'. The 'Morisonian system' on the other hand is represented by an uncluttered scene of a fruitful tree with a few physicians standing aside in conversation showing accordance; in the background is a peaceful and prosperous street containing Morison's 'British College of Health -established 1828'.

Lettering
A tree under the organic or doctors'system, - being undrained of corrupt matter, is in a state of decay throughout. Tree under the hygeian or Morisonian system, being drained of all impurities - is in a flourishing state!!! ...
Lettering continues explaining the theory behind the Morisonian system, namely that the human body should be treated as a whole - with 'Universal medicine' - since all diseases arise from impurity of the blood
