Description

20 January, 1916. Letter authorising Albert E Warden, of Burroughs Wellcome & Co, "to appear on our behalf at the Local Tribunal for the City of London at the Guildhall, 20th January 1916[,] in the matter of an appeal in respect of one of our employees named A C Pearson, a medical label printer. With two related generic personnel documents (1915-1916) referring to "Lord Derby's recruiting scheme".

14 July, 1916. George Pearson, copy Declaration concerning goods requisitioned, sequestrated or destroyed by the Turkish Government. "The Turkish Government are taking possession of any goods which are considered necessary for their troops and are not granting any receipts for such appropriations" (quoted correspondence, Declaration p. 3).

3 October, 1916. Copy Statutory Declaration concerning goods marked "made in Berlin" exported to Cargills Ltd, Ceylon, were bought and paid for by Burroughs Wellcome & Co before the outbreak of war.
