Description
Correspondence between BPAS and the Department of Health to BPAS's views on any fresh abortion legislation being introduced in the future, intending to protect BPAS's role and services. Introduced in light of Benyon Bill (William Benyon's Abortion (Amendment) Bill 1976) which would have made it impossible for BPAS to continue to exist. Including BPAS policy statement on the matter. BPAS and PAS were invited by the Minister for Health to discussions on the effects any legislation might have upon the work of the voluntary sector concerned with abortion.
