Monstrum satyricum captum anno salutis M.D. XXXI...German. Ein Wunder von einem Thier / gefangen im Jar von der Geburt Christi ...
The German text continues describing the animal as having been caught in the year of Christ's birth in the Hansperg forest, belonging to the Bishop of Salzburg
The title pages of three Icones volumes bear subtitles in Italian, French and German, probably because they were aimed at a larger market and at people who could no longer read Latin. The illustrations carry legends in all four languages
