The two letters (p. 169-187) addressed to Thomas Prior, were from George Berkeley, author of Siris. The first was published anonymously in Dublin in 1744 as A letter to T----- P----, Esq., and was reprinted in London in the same year. (Cf. Jessop 33a, b, e) The text of the present edition differs slightly from that of the London reprint
