About this work
Description
Intertitles explaining that this film is about the 'drop method'. The anaesthetist demonstrates how to make the mask using layers of gauze or how to customise gamgee (thick wadding) for the same purpose. He then proceeds to anaesthetise a patient using chloroform. Using intertitles, it is suggested that continuation (of anaesthesia) should be via the Junker method.
