Notes

William Higgs comes from Bucknall. His is now a school Librarian but has done various things over the years including teaching English, owned a bookshop, a music shop, an antique dealer. He has a general interest in the arts and likes modern sculpture. On the plinth he will be making a freeform balloon sculpture which he says is a posh way of saying sticking balloons together. He will incorporate the crowd by asking them to blow up balloons as well and pass them up to him. Also doing it for a charity called St Catherine's House - school for speech and learning difficulties. There will be people on the ground distributing leaflets.
