About this work

Description

"Spine, Oppenheim's exhibition at MOCA Cleveland, brings together three distinctive bodies of work: a series of Jacquard-woven textiles, a collection of photograms depicting the wood grain of distinctive arboreal species, and a series of images appropriated from the early twentieth-century documentary photographer Lewis Hine ... These works--while seemingly disparate in subject matter--all circle around the idea of the spine"--Page 11.
