About this work

Description

Transmission electron micrograph showing the interface between a corneal graft (top) and the host tissue (bottom). Cell debris can be seen in the spaces between the apposed tissue. Some type VI collagen-like aggragates are evident within the stroma. Otherwise the collagen fibril architecture is more disrupted in the host than in the graft. No inflammatory cells are present. This field is approximately 26 microns across.
