Volume records deductions from allowances of sick pay granted by the Board of Directors, arranged by quarter, listing staff names. Information contained includes staff name, position, department, dates and number of days off duty through ill health, rate of deduction per day, amount, and remarks. Attached to the inside cover is a copy notice, 'General Council Circular No.4', regarding compassionate leave by Whitley Councils for the Health Services (Great Britain) General Council, 31 March 1949.
