About this work

Description

Two documents:

Typescript report, dated 7 Oct 1957, (author not known), on the similarity of small round cell sarcomata found in 75 children (37 jaw tumours and 38 abdominal tumours) and the conclusion that virtually all must belong to the same category or syndrome, followed by reasons in favour and against a diagnosis of either neuro-blastoma or lympho-sarcomata (the author lists more reasons for a diagnosis of neuro-blastoma).

Draft typescript report, with covering letter dated 17 Dec 1957 to Burkitt from 'Glyn' in the X-ray Division of the Mulago Hospital, summarising his radiological findings in 20 histologically identical cases of jaw tumour for which there are x-ray films. The author states that Burkitt may not agree with his findings.
