This programme explores way in which scientists are tackling the challenge of elucidating the structure of, and chemical reactions occuring in Photosystem 2 - the so-called 'energy of life'. The second part of the video, 'Improving the Energy Yield', takes a look at the low efficiency of photosynthesis and the potential of genentic engineering to improve it.
