About this work

Description

From Anthony Norden and Michela Wrong's Guide to the Catalogue: "Correspondence with Alexander Leaf. Leaf, chief of medical services at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, was a major figure in Wrong’s scientific development, playing the role of mentor and inspiration at an early point in his career and becoming a close personal friend, a relationship cemented during Leaf’s years in the UK. The two exchanged a lengthy correspondence about the merits of J.S. Bach’s various cantatas, retained by the family Estate. Leaf, probably the scientific contemporary Wrong most admired, was first author on one of Wrong’s first major publications."
