Collection of medical works, etc. in Italian and Latin

Written in a neat rounded hand by the same scribe throughout, 24-27 lines to a page. Initials, headings and paragraph marks in red. This item is written in a very small script, different from that of the rest of the volume. There are a few additions by an early 17th century hand.

Physical description

1 volume 32 ff.+80 ff. 4to. 22 x 15 cm. 18th century vellum binding. The leaves at the beginning are wormed, one hole extending to fol. 28, with slight loss of text.

Purchased 1909.

Biographical note

The date 1453 appears on fol. 55 of the second foliation in a reference to a plague at Brescia: on fol. 60 following, the date 1466 is given in a problem for finding the Golden Number. Inserted is a slip, with a list of contents and shelf-marks by an Italian 18th century hand.
