Description

One week on three pages with price list, prices in London. Depiction of the God Bes, protector of childbirth and young children, with description. Decorations in book are based on ancient Egyptian monuments of the Middle Kingdom and onwards to the end of the XVIIIth Dynasty, c. 2000-1580 BC. With pencil.

Physical description

1 copy Wallet style binding in leather with leather loop to hold a writing utensil. Endpapers colour printed unicorn designs. Text block machine made paper, text printed in black, paper pre lined with blue and brown printing ink with a silk bookmark. Spine has embossed: the year of the diary and a snake in the shape of an 'S'.
