Biographical note
In 1998 Petrone undertook a residency in at St Peter and St James' hospice in East Sussex, encouraging patients and carers to "colour their feelings" through art. The resulting artworks were exhibited as "Touching the Rainbow" (see PP/MAP/D/9). In 2000 "Moving Pictures" allowed Petrone to extend this work to health professionals, giving them the opportunity to paint their emotional responses to caring for the terminally ill and patients with life-threatening illness.
