Description

Advertising card for Ayer's Cherry Pectoral cough medicine showing 7 gentlemen making a treaty (advertising the expectorant in this image) with 8 indians in feathered headdresses. The man in the centre is handing over a bottle of brown liquid. The medicine was supposed to cure colds, coughs, sore throat, influenza, quinsy, laryngitis, hoarseness, bronchitis, croup, asthma, catarrh and whooping cough and consumption in their early stages.
