About this work

Description

Human sentience before birth was produced alongside the report by the Independent Commission of Inquiry into Fetal Sentience, chaired by Lord Rawlinson of Ewell and set up by CARE. It features interviews with experts in the area of fetal care and relates their views on important new evidence regarding the capabilities of babies in the womb, including their ability to feel pain or suffer. The clinicians and scientists conclude by speaking frankly about how much protection they feel should be given to the fetus before birth.
