The scientists have discovered one of the genetic defects which can make one susceptible to insulin-dependent diabetes. At the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics at Oxford, the international team of research, led by Dr Simon Bennett looked at the entire human blueprint to find the mutations in the genes that are responsible for type 1 diabates.
