Biographical note
Founder Membership applications originally required approval by the committee. New members were proposed and seconded by existing members, scruitinized by the Committee and elected at the next Annual General Meeting of the Society.
At the second BTS meeting, on 18 October 1972, provision was made for Honorary Membership to be given to distinguished individuals who had contributed significantly to the field of transplantation.
