Description

Giuseppe Fieschi attempted to kill King Louis-Philippe of France in 1835 with an "infernal machine" consisting of twenty gun barrels, placed in a window at 50, Boulevard d du Temple, Paris. Fieschi was guillotined on 19 February 1836. He is said to have met Laurence Petit (also called Lassave) when they were both in prison in 1826, and they subsequently lived together.
