Notes

Mike Walmsley lives in Cardiff but his family are originally from Liverpool. He is a fan of Antony Gormley and has seen much of his work in the past. With his time on the platform Mike will be dancing to a playlist chosen by him and his friends, to relive his youth. He works for the Welsh National Opera, he started as a technician and went back to college to study a masters in arts management. He discusses the transition from technician to more office based work. Talks of not enjoying London whilst living there but enjoying it as an outsider. He enjoys his life in the Welsh countryside walking his dog, surfing and swimming. He talks about his wife, how they met and what he would like for his life in the future. He says he is not worried about what his friends or strangers think about his time on the plinth, but it is acquaintances that he worries about judging him.
