Description

Diaries are one week to a page. The Nurse's edition includes the general principles of nursing such as sanitation, ventilation, cleanliness, medical equipment, surgery, first aid in emergencies, poisons and their antidotes, an alphabetical list of 'Tabloid' nursing requisites, foods and dietary, legal information and general rules of quarantine. Bookmark with silk ribbon printed ''Price list of Nursing Requisites", includes advertisements for 'Menthofax', 'Sketofax', and 'Kepler' 'Tabloid' products.

Physical description

26 diaries From 1898 to 1913-14 the pages are gilt edged, from 1915-16 they are edged with red pigment. From 1923-1924 onwards black tooling is used on the binding (as opposed to the earlier gold) and the cloth binding is a lighter red material than that used up to 1915-16.
