Notes

Evelyn Morrison comes from Edinburgh but is originally from Essen in Germany. She moved around the UK before settling in Edinburgh, where she has lived for the past four years. She is studying at Edinburgh School of Art studying intermedia; her particular interest at the moment is silence. Also loves the work of John Cage. On the plinth she will be meditating, closing her eyes and turning to face a different part of the Square every 15 minutes. Going to focus on the ambient noise, she had also asked other people outside London to meditate at the same time. Spoke at some length about sound art and the notion of silence.
