Biographical note

The author obtained his M.D. at Brussels in 1884, and practised at Finsbury. He was Medical Officer to the Friends Provident Institution, and wrote 'Dr. Fothergill and his friends' in 1919. He was elected F.R.C.P. in 1923 [Cf. Lancet, 1924, i, pp. 831, 832].
