Wildbad water cure

Autograph letter from J. H. (Jack) Rowland to his parents at number 20, Hatton Garden, London, describing his arrival and early treatment at the spa of Wildbad, Germany, to which he had evidently repaired for an unspecified nervous condition. With an appended letter addressed to a relative or business partner mainly concerning business affairs.

The author seems to have been a member of the family firm of Alexander Rowland & Son, of 20 Hatton Garden, 'sole proprietors of the original macassar oil and kalydor' (Post Office London Directory, 1838)
