Advertising card for Tarrant's Seltzer Aperient (about 1880?). The aperient was sold as a bottle of white powder which produced 30 - 40 glasses of "foaming, sparkling Seltzer" when added to water to which was supposed to cure "headaches, constipation, indigestion and dyspepsia". This one shows a very young girl with long, blond hair tied back rising out of an open, circular wicker basket with turquoise satin lining and ribbons and a garland of pink roses behind the child. The Tarrant's logo over the front is in red.
