Description

An episode in The vicar of Wakefield by Oliver Goldsmith, 1766. Moses is one of the sons of the vicar, Dr Charles Primrose. He is dressed up in finery by his sisters Olivia and Sophia and sent to the fair to sell the family's horse. He does so, but uses the money to buy a gross of green spectacles, of little usable value
