The scheme of divine providence upon which the Christian religion is founded, set forth in an essay on the prophetic writings of the Old and New Testament, Particularly, on the Books of Daniel, Esdras, and the Apocalypse; Interspersed with Remarks Historical, Political, and Critical, serving to prove the Divine Authority of the Book, commonly called the Second Book of Esdras; to set forth the Connexion which reigns between each Visionary Scene of which the said Books are composed; and the Dependance which they have on the rest of the Prophecies of Sacred Writ; to explain the Emblems and Figurative Expressions made use of therein; and to illustrate the Whole. By the author of three letters lately published, and intended to have been published, in the Daily Gazetteer, i answer to some errors lately published by Mr. Whiston and Dr. Middleton, on earthquakes, on the fall of man, and on the heathen oracles: all of which are inserted.
