Doctrinae filio fideli. Effigies Henrici Khunrath Lipsensis theosophiae amatoris fidelis et medicinae utriusq[ue] doctoris anno à Ihsuh Christo servatore nostro, nato MDCII aetatis suae XLII. Culpes ne libros huius, tibi dico, sophista / Oh tuus Henrici cedat labor amphitheatro! / Numinis instinctu[m] sacri nam rite peregit / Sunt equidem scripta haec nunquam contraria vero / Is quia sinceram sophiam defendit & ornat / Laesam restituit purgando illustrat abusum / In vivis homini voluit servire Deoq[ue] / Ut ratione pari Khunrathi nomen & omen / Magnus consilio celebraret dona Iehovae / Deniq[ue] nil superest nisi Momi scommata temnat / Et sic scribendo pergat conducere multis / Ingenio quoniam valet, atq[ue] est arte politus. M. Andr. Riccius. Johan Diricks van Campe[n] scalpsit Magdeburgi. In the verses by Andreas Riccius, the initial letters of each verse form the phrase Consilium Dei
