About this work

Description

Extracts from 'Remèdes secrets et éprouvés'. Paris. 1697, with added medical receipts by several later 18th cent. hands. The extracts from the Abbé Rousseau's book end at p. 107, and have a title: 'Titre du livre où jay pris ce que j'ay écrit icy secrets Remèdes éprovez dans les préparations, ont estée faites au Louvre de l'ordre du Roy par deffunt Monsieur L'abbé Rousseau, cy devant Capucin et médecin de sa Majesté ... À Paris Chez Jean Imbert ... 1697'. This was perhaps written in the early 18th cent. but the added receipts are by various mid-century hands, or later.
