About this work

Description

Edobashi bridge, built of stone, is on the right; through its arches the wooden Nihonbashi bridge can be glimpsed. Of the buildings in the background, the right building is the town house of the leading industrialist Shihsawa Eiichi; on the left is the first National Bank. The design reproduces a sense of excitement, movement and change in the city centre
