Notes

Linda Parr a mother of 4 who is originally from north London has travelled down from Steeple Ashton where she has lived and worked as a GP for just under 30 years. A year ago she began a part time art course at Trowbridge College and it was through her tutor she found out about this project. Initially she wanted to portray Frida Kahlo as she is impressed by Kahlo's use of image to portray emotions. On the plinth she will be portraying herself and will talk about things that have meant a lot to her in her life. This will involve taking costumes up on the plinth, including a school uniform, which she will wear whilst musing about school and her school days. She halso brought that have a personal significance notably her stethoscope. To finish her performance she will do something on Frida Kahlo and how things are now.
