Description

Album contains 90 melinex sheets (most double-sided) of correspondence for bodybuilding courses. The majority of the correspondence is for the Earle E. Liederman bodybuilding postal course, containing 60 photographs of men demonstrating various strengthening and toning exercises, alongside lessons 1-8, 10-12 and specific lessons on 'varicose veins', 'posing and muscle control', 'feats of strength', 'wrestling', 'boxing', and ending with 'general advice', dated between 19 December 1930 and 20th July 1931. The correspondence also contains advertisements for other Liederman products including books such as "Science of Wrestling and Art of Jiu Jitsu", "Here's Health" and "Hidden Truth about Sex", a scientific bath massager and soap sponge, and an exerciser for gums and teeth. The rest of the correspondence is for a Maxalding course including Exercises A-Y with photographs and some personalised lessons, dated between 25th September and 31st October 1957.
