Description

One introductory title poster and ten posters showing aspects and stages of childbirth. Includes anatomical diagrams and illustrations, medical examinations, correct position of the baby in the womb, hygiene preparation, the passage of the baby through the womb, delivery itself, immediate health checks and attendance to the baby following birth and post-natal care of the mother and child. Each item has, typically, four or more colour illustrations with accompanying descriptive text. A small separate slip of paper advises that the set was originally intended to be consist of twelve posters but was later amended to eleven; or alternatively, that an earlier edition consisted of twelve posters but that this one consisted of eleven. Possibly dates from the mid 1960s
