About this work
Description
Drawings and descriptions of the microscopical examination of various organic and inorganic tissues: including pathological specimens from human and animal subjects. Some of the illustrations are pen-drawn and coloured, or mounted on black squares: others are drawn in pencil. The text is partly in ink and partly in pencil, and is apparently by two different but contemporary hands. At the foot of an entry on 'Purpoura hemorrhagica' is a note: 'Observed Aug. 4th 1876'.
