About this work

Description

A medical museum in a box. Dr Adrian Longstaff has developed a new weapon against tropical diseases - a computer videodisc with all the information on slides at the Wellcome Museum - so far he has 20,000 pictures on the computer. By typing 'malaria', one can access 2,075 pictures: type 'Malaria' and 'treatment' and it narrows to 48 pictures. At present it costs 3̋,500. This is an interactive resource which will be invaluable for teaching. It is planned to link up with other picture archives and be available via satellite.
