About this work

Description

Illustrated with a coloured symbolic figure, and a pen-drawing of 'Sigillum Hermetis': also two drawings, one coloured, the other uncoloured, of a statue of Paracelsus. Facing the latter is an account of a process to obtain the 'Red Lion', dated 1648. On the 9th leaf is the date 1646 and the Author's signature which, as on the title, has been made illegible. The MS. is mainly concerned with alchemical processes, and iatro-chemical remedies derived from Paracelsus and his followers.
