Description

13 November, 1923. Letter from Kynoch & McDougall (South Africa) Ltd concerning cyanide gas ("a product which will be sold by Kynoch & McDougall in due course"). Enclosing incidentally a newspaper cutting concerning the Derris Cup (golf): "On Saturday afternoon the first round of the Derris Cup, presented by Mr I McDougall, was played" (The Natal Mercury, 18 October, 1923).

29 November, 1923. Nobel House, Buckingham Gate, London, The British South African Exposives Co Ltd, to McDougall & Robertson Ltd, Manchester, headed "Arsenic", requesting supply. With copy reply (30 November), unable to assist, suggesting Brazilian alternative source.

1 December, 1923. Marytavy, Devon, The Wheal Jewel & Marytavy Mines Ltd, to McDougall & Robertson Ltd, Manchester, inviting tenders for 25 tons of white arsenic.

3 December, 1923. Telegraph message, Canterbury East Rail to McDougall & Robertson Ltd, Manchester: "Sheep still on same field impossible cure under existing conditions latex satisfactory vet agrees".
