Here, Dr. Mark Porter explores the different Out of Hours medical services currently available, assesses how people are using them and how effective they are. We spend an evening with an out of hours GP in Leeds, visit an NHS Direct centre in Kent and we find out how Accident and Emergency Departments are being affected by most GP surgeries no longer running an out of hours service.
