It was the worst day of my life. The day I first found out. You're HIV+ they said. Everything felt cold. I was so mad. And scared. What about my dreasm? I cried. I tried to cope with it. But people looked at me funny. No one seemed to care about me. I heard about this place where kids like me can live. With hope. With respect. With dignity. I'm at Rainbow House. Rainbow House is a long-term care residence for adolescents and teen mothers with their infants who are HIV+ or have AIDS. For information, write to ... 1600.
