About this work

Description

According to an introductory note by Michael de Burgh Daly, Ivan de Burgh Daly started writing a monograph on intrinsic lung mechanisms in 1930, but had made only slow progress before 1948 when he began the task of setting up the Institute of Animal Physiology at Cambridge. Thereafter, it was not until his retirement that he could devote any time to it. It was published in 1966 in very different form from the original outline as Pulmonary and bronchial vascular systems. These chapters are as written in about 1944, bound with photographs and correspondence.
