Description

Woodblock illustration from an edition of 1592 (20th year of Wanli reign period of the Ming dynasty). The image represents the back view of the torso. It shows in diagram form the sequence of transmission and transformation of pathologies through the three Yin channels, from below to above, i.e. from the spleen channel of foot taiyin, to the kidney channel of foot shaoyin, and thence to the liver channel of foot jueyin.
