Description

Le médecin familier. Author's holograph MS., apparently unpublished. It is dedicated to Louis de Bailleul, Marquis de Châteaugontier, etc. [1622-1701], 'Président de Parlement', an office which he resigned in favour of his son in 1689. It is a treatise on hygiene based on the human temperaments, and contains many remedies for maladies caused by defects or excess of these temperaments. The last 6 ll. contain a 'Traité de la peste'.
