About this work

Description

Diagram showing human embryo grades for in vitro fertilisation (IVF). Grade 1 is the best quality four-cell stage embryo and would be selected for replacement in the uterus. Grade 2 is of a lower quality, but is still viable and might be used if there is a shortage of grade 1 embryos. Grades 3 and 4 are poor quality and would not be used.
