A portrait of a solitary palm with a trunk covered in old leaf bases, no crownshaft, and evenly spaced pinnae in a single plane. Clusters of prickles are prominent on the leaf bases, petioles and rachises. Although there is nothing to provide scale, the palm appears to be large
