Notes

John Tierney comes from Birmingham. He works as an engineer. Due to financial crisis has had to go part time but very active in his spare time and very involved in running an arts group locally in the Midlands. On the plinth he will be paying homage to Van Gogh and wants to say to people that they should go for it and be creative. He will be playing his harmonica; putting on a CD of dance anthems to help him paint. He will be pretending to cut his ear off (has a false one); playing "Starry, starry night" by Don McLean will be throwing sunflowers.
