Description

Privilegium in Arte Pharmaceutica. Granted by the Collegium Pharmaceuticum of Padua. Title in red within a banner held by an angel, in water-colour. On the verso a coloured drawing of St. Michael trampling upon a prostrate winged Satan. On the second leaf are the emblazoned crests of Padua, and the families of Magoni, Francesconi, Servadio and Bettanini. Text in red and black. Signed at the end by: Dondi del Orologio (Giovanni Baptista). Carburi (Marco) [1731-1808], Professor of Chemistry. Bonati (Giuseppe Antonio) [1753-1836], Professor of Botany. Fanzago (Francesco [Luigi]) [1770-1832], Proto-Medicus. Magoni (Giovanni), Prior Specier allo Struzzo d'Oro. Francesconi (Giacomo), Prior Specier alla Sirena. Bettanini (Alessandro), Sindico. Servadio (Carlo), Cancellier dell' Ufficio di Sanità. On the verso of the last leaf is an endorsement with a paper seal, dated 1808, by the Polizia Medica Residente in Padova, [Vincenzo] Malacarne [1744-1816]. Produced in Padua.
